Now that the Toy Tower is open and running, we had a chance to sit down and chat with Lieutenant Chad and Pamela from the Foothills Salvation Army.
It was very interesting and eye opening to learn about all that they do, and the area that they cover when it comes to supporting the families in the area. They were extremely appreciative that Envious Events and Amanda's Adventure chose their cause to be one of the beneficiaries of the 1st Annual Foothills Toy Tower proceeds.
This year, their Christmas Hampers will be going to over 250 families within the MD of the Foothills. When we heard that number - we thought "WOW, that's a lot of families that are in need" which made us even more dedicated to ensure that our event is a true success.
The Christmas hampers are a true gift to those who receive them The Salvation Army works diligently to get the item on the "wish list" of the children, to ensure that their Christmas wishes come true. They also provide the families with gift cards to local grocery stores to help fill up their pantry, as well as have all the fixings for a Christmas dinner.
